We got a nice surprise in the mail today in the form of the new Permanent Clear Light CD all the way from Helsinki, Finland. We were most impressed by a track we
played earlier this year so we had high hopes for the album... and were not
disappointed – it’s brilliant! Don’t know
what it is about those northern climes, but many of our recent faves such as the Apricot, Vibravoid,
Life On Earth, the
Amazing and many others have come from northern
Europe and now PCL joins that list,
so “do yourself a favour” and check
them out – we’ll certainly be playing more songs from the album in the weeks to
come for you to hear. Also featured this week was the latest release by the
ever-prolific Ty Segall plus a bunch of cool
60’s tracks from around the world by the likes Rainbow
Ffolly, We All Together, the Churchills, Ultimate
Spinach and Adelaide’s own Masters Apprentices
– in other words, back to business as usual for the Cat
& the Brat on Technicolour Dreaming
after last week’s hectic 3D Radio-thon
edition.....
