Technicolour Dreaming

It’s been a while since we played a song-suite, so the five tracks that compose the opus that is ‘In Held Twas I’ from Procol Harum’s second album seemed to fit the bill. From there it was off on a trip through eras and locales, fed by more of the goodies that have appeared in our post-box recently, plus a few old favourites like the Twilights, Eno and Jacques Dutronc. Highlights included songs from the debut album by Dean Allen Foyd, the Citradels, Beaulieau Porch and local heroes the Systemaddicts, as well as from older albums by Sweden’s the Works and criminally neglected 60’s L.A. garage-girls the Daisy Chain, plus a cool version of D.A.F.’s “Der Mussolini” by Green Hornet and a classic from nick nicely. Throw in the Wondermints, Jeff Duff, the Millennium and loads more and it’s another episode done and dusted by the Cat and the Brat.....
