Three D Radio announcer, Megan Cat (up until recently with her husband, the late Peter Brat) lives in "The BratHaus" a rural seaside home about 100km from Adelaide on South Australia's scenic Fleurieu Peninsula.
Veteran musician Peter, and artist/musician Megan, were long-time DJs on Three D Radio 93.7fm
, Adelaide's eclectic independent music station.
Together Peter & Megan, known as "The Cat and The Brat" created this blog to allow listeners to review the playlists of their radio show, "Technicolour Dreaming" , watch clips of selected songs and simply join them in the enjoyment of their favourite music... psychedelia, 60's garage,
surf, punk/post-punk, pop, folk-rock, glam, 'Krautrock', goth, 80's electro... and much more!
But The Cat is carrying on the tradition, with guest co-presenters, and "Technicolour Dreaming" will continue in the same format, drawing from the huge "Cat & Brat" music collection, with the addition of new releases and reissues to keep things current. The Brat is hugely missed, but the show must go on, as he wanted...

Technicolour Dreaming

In a first for our regularBand of the Monthfeature, we had several members of this month’s selection, Adelaide’s premier psychedelic outfit, Ride Into The Sun, in the 3D studio with us for an interview and also as guest presenters. They had lots to talk about – a new drummer, the return of their keyboardist, recording plans for an EP to be produced by Christian Bland of the Black Angels, discussion of the Austin Psych Fest and much more – and a bunch of songs for us to play including tracks by the aforementioned Black Angels, ex-Sydney band the Black Ryder [featuring the Cult’s Ian Asbury’s new wife Aimee], Austin’s The UFO Club and Iceland’s Singapore Sling. Also on this week’s show were tracks from the new Pony Face album and the Murlocs latest EP plus a few classic singles from the likes of T.Rex, Wire and the Rationals. Some more music, lots of chatting and laughing, and that was it! Another episode of Technicolour Dreaming with the Cat & the Brat.....
