Regular listeners
to 3D Radio will be aware of the
Cat and the Brat’s penchant for compilations, anthologies and boxsets and our fondness for the unjustly obscure, whether it be
old or new. This week we continued on our never-ending quest to share such aural delights with
our listeners, starting with a track from the latest album
by American psych outfit, Eternal Tapestry...
and from there it went all over the place, including songs from two new Adelaide
bands, Angels of Gungho and the Solar City and another from the excellent debut by Melody’s Echo
Chamber. As always there were a few songs from better known artists, in this case T.Rex, the Walker Brothers and the Rolling
Stones, plus a couple of Nico tunes, before we
ventured off into lesser known territory with Simon
& de Sade and the Ronnie James Reincarnation from the wonderful Electric
Sound Show compilation boxset and the Moods from the new Nuggets
Down Under selection. As promised last
week we played the conclusion to the Lost’s ‘Space Kids’ radio serial... and were
relieved that little Jimmy made it back to Earth unharmed after saving
the world! [heh heh!]
