Veteran musician Peter, and artist/musician Megan, were long-time DJs on Three D Radio 93.7fm, Adelaide's eclectic independent music station.
Together Peter & Megan, known as "The Cat and The Brat" created this blog to allow listeners to review the playlists of their radio show, "Technicolour Dreaming" , watch clips of selected songs and simply join them in the enjoyment of their favourite music... psychedelia, 60's garage, surf, punk/post-punk, pop, folk-rock, glam, 'Krautrock', goth, 80's electro... and much more!

Obscured By... March 29, 2011
Peter Brat was the sole ‘dot’ presenting “Obscured by...” this week. As usual, there was a fair smattering of Adelaide and Australian 60’s and 70’s recordings, as well as psych, pop, surf and garage et al. from Indonesia, Japan, Europe, the UK and USA, including a 1971 prog track from Demis Roussos’ band ‘Aphrodite’s Children’, one from Scott Walker’s 2006 album, “the Drift”, on 4AD Records, and Sleater-Kinney (with the B52’s Fred Schneider) doing a cover of the title track from the movie “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”.

In this week’s TECHNICOLOUR DREAMING, we played our usual eclectic mix of genre, old and new, home and away, and introduced a new feature... our pick for “album of the month”!
